Penalty Shootouts

A football match that lasts for one and half hours can be very gripping and the tables can turn even in the last five minutes. Usually there are two period of 45 minutes each and there is a break in between the two. A penalty shootout happens when the match ends in a draw. At that time both the teams get three shots each at the goal post and the team that gets the most number of goals wins the game. Only the goalkeeper and the person taking the penalty shootout are involved in this. Such shootouts can be extremely interesting to the viewers but extremely tension filled to the players. In fact penalty shootouts make the game a lot more interesting.
